Terms and Conditions
These terms govern use of the Proteum security awareness training service ("Proteum", "we"). By enrolling employees or by using the service, you agree to them.
The service
Proteum delivers short security awareness training modules and simulated phishing exercises to a Customer's employees ("Learners") by SMS and email, and reports the results back to the Customer. Simulated phishing messages are deliberately designed to resemble real attacks; the Customer is responsible for informing its employees that such exercises occur.
Messaging program
Program: Proteum Security Awareness Training. Text messages contain training modules, simulated phishing exercises, and the follow-up lessons that accompany them.
Message frequency: varies by training plan, typically 2–8 messages per month per Learner.
Message and data rates may apply.
To opt out: reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Consent
Learners are enrolled by their employer as part of that employer's security training program. The Customer represents that it has the authority to enroll each Learner and has obtained any consent required by law before providing that Learner's mobile number to Proteum. A Learner may withdraw consent for text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to send unlawful, harassing, or deceptive content outside the scope of an authorized training exercise; do not attempt to breach, overload, or reverse engineer the platform; and do not resell or share access without our written agreement.
Customer data
The Customer owns its data. We process it as described in our Privacy Policy, and only to provide and improve the service. Learner names, email addresses, and phone numbers are stored encrypted and are never passed to AI model providers.
Fees
Fees, seat counts, and billing terms are set out in the Customer's order or subscription agreement. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend access for maintenance, for non-payment, or to protect the platform.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". Security awareness training reduces risk; it does not prevent security incidents, and Proteum is not liable for any breach, loss, or compromise a Customer suffers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the fees paid by the Customer in the twelve months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Termination
Either party may terminate on 30 days' written notice. On termination we stop message delivery and delete or anonymize Learner data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to Customers by email and reflected in the effective date above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
